I watched the movie Soul Surfer with Isabella this week. She loves to watch movies based on true stories. For those who don't know, the story is about a girl who gets her arm bit off by a shark while surfing. Instead of allowing it to get the best of her, she reaches deep inside and finds the strength through faith, family and friends to continue her dreams of becoming a professional surfer. What a wonderful movie for girls! It's actually a wonderful movie for all children. I would highly recommend it. Bethany Hamilton is truly inspirational. What a fantastic role model! Isabella is so infatuated with her now. We looked at her website and researched information on surfing. The picture below is a poster that can be purchased off of Bethany's website. If Isabella keeps showing so much interest in her, I'm going to buy it. I'll frame it and hang it in her bedroom.
Maybe Daddy will take us to Hawaii someday to meet her? : )
